Keep Austin Fed’s primary focus is making sure that nutritious surplus food gets to people in need. However, we can’t do it without your help. We ask you to please make a tax-deductible donation to Keep Austin Fed.
Your support of Keep Austin Fed helps to cover the costs to:
Recruit, train, and support a dedicated team of volunteers.
Manage the operation of our food recovery vans and walk-in cooler hubs, covering staff, fuel, maintenance, and cleaning.
Engage and train food donor partners, helping them adjust their daily processes to donate fresh food more frequently, increasing the supply of nutritious food for redistribution.
Oversee the daily food recovery program, including technology, logistics, and communication with food recipient partners to gather data on the needs of vulnerable communities.
Keep Austin Fed can also accept gifts of stock! Stocks will be sold upon transfer. You can take a tax deduction for the full fair market value of the stock at the time of donation, and nobody is required to pay capital gains on the donation. It’s a win-win!
